Grand Dive Pro PLUS
Retail price: $19,495 for 8.5’ long + $500 shipping
Retail price: $19,995 6.5′ long + $500 shipping
This chamber measures 60″ (5 feet) in diameter and 102″ (8.5 feet) long or 78″ (6.5 feet); one of the largest mild hyperbaric chambers on the market. We feel that this will give the end user (i.e. clinic) the ability to serve every person needing hyperbaric therapy no matter what their condition is.
Our original Grand Dive Pro Plus 60″ has impressed many customers with its spacious design, but we understand that space constraints can be a challenge in some clinics or residences. Summit to Sea is offering a shorter 6.5′ chamber with all the same benefits as the 8.5′ chamber.
These are the top benefits:
WHEELCHAIR
You can roll a wheelchair into this opening with plenty of room. If the person in the wheelchair is not able to sit up straight, they have the ability to be slightly reclined. This also allows plenty of room to have a second person to be inside the chamber with them.
HEALTHCARE PROVIDER
This chamber gives room for those healthcare providers to actually treat their customers inside the chamber enhancing their treatment.
GURNEY ACCESS (8.5′ ‘chamber only)
Another benefit of this chamber is it allows for a gurney (not included) to be rolled into the chamber if they are not able to sit in a wheelchair.
COMFORTABLE RECLINER
For other applications this chamber allows you to put a comfortable reclining office chair inside as the feet can be raised up and the back reclined.
MAT TO RECLINE
And lastly, it comes with the usual foam mat that allows anyone to lay down and rest during their treatment.

F.A.Q.
Why Are Summit to Sea Chambers Better?
In researching brands, we found Summit to Sea to have the best track record with the most accessible price. They have been manufacturing these chambers in the USA for over 30 years and have gained FDA approval.
Safety is paramount in hyperbaric chambers, which is why Summit to Sea models feature a failsafe alarm system to notify the operator of any power outages from the wall socket.
Unlike many other chambers that rely on a single compressor, Summit to Sea chambers are equipped with dual compressors to provide an extra layer of safety in case one fails. Additionally, the chambers are designed with two relief valves—one at each end—for balanced air distribution and release. This system prevents the buildup of carbon monoxide inside the chamber and ensures redundancy in the event of a valve failure or blockage.
Another standout feature of Summit to Sea chambers is their zippers. The inner zipper, designed with dry suit technology, creates a robust, airtight seal and includes double-sided handles for easy use from both inside and outside the chamber. The exterior zipper and user-friendly buckles work together to reduce pressure on the inner zipper, enhancing durability.
These chambers are also designed with portability in mind. Their exterior frames make assembly and disassembly straightforward, and most models can be easily transported in a standard car trunk. Summit to Sea’s vertical chambers are particularly noteworthy, catering to users with limited mobility who may have difficulty using horizontal chambers or lying down for extended periods. Their Pro series is unique, offering enough space for multiple users, wheelchairs, stretchers, or zero-gravity chairs.
Personally, I have loved our Summit to Sea chamber. After trying other chambers, I find their materials to be superior. The interiors are brighter due to better-placed windows. They have excellent customer service and troubleshooting help, 7 days. a week. Their founders are committed to keeping their chambers affordable, accessible, safe, and user-friendly so that everyone can experience the full benefits of this remarkable therapy.
Summit to Sea requires that people purchase through a reseller.
What's It Like in the Chamber?
When you first get in the chamber, it will be like sitting inside a tent with a pole missing, so it’s kind of saggy. As soon as the pumps turn on (switch of a button), it begins to fill to its full shape and size. The walls will harden. At this point, you will feel the pressure change in your ears. It will feel similar to taking off or landing in an airplane. You will want to continually pop your ears until the chamber comes to full pressure, which takes about 5 minutes until it comes to full pressure. You will know when it is finished coming to pressure because there is a pressure gauge inside and outside the chamber. The chamber is designed to fill to exactly 1.3 atmospheric pressure and not surpass that. You don’t have to do anything except curiously glance at the pressure gauge to confirm you’re at pressure.
Once you’re at pressure, you can ignore your ears as they will be comfortable. No more popping! At this point, you can read, nap, journal, watch a movie, do homework, or even attend a Zoom meeting while in the chamber! As a mom, I will sometimes share a session with a child who needs 1 on 1 help with homework, or bring a board game in for some quality time with mom. And teenagers! They can’t escape your conversation, so it can create some great bonding time. 😆
When you have finished your time in the chamber (typically 60-120 minutes is the most effective duration), you will turn a release valve from inside the chamber. At that point, you will hear air slowly exit the chamber, and your ears will once again begin to pop just as landing in a plane. Once the pressure inside the chamber reads zero, you unzip yourself and get out, generally feeling more energy at the very least.
Unfamiliar Terms?
- HBOT: Hyperbaric oxygen therapy
- HBOC: Hyperbaric oxygen chamber
- HB02: Hyperbaric Oxygen
- mHBOT: Mild hyperbaric oxygen therapy
- ATA: Atmosphere absolute (this is the level of atmospheric pressure)
What is mHBOT?
As you are researching, you may come across info about “HBOT” and “mHBOT”. The first is hyperbaric oxygen therapy, the second is mild hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Much of the earlier research that was done decades ago was on deep HBOT. The difference is how much pressure and how much oxygen is used. In deep HBOT, the pressure simulates going to 1.5 atmospheric pressure or deeper. They also use 100% oxygen in deep HBOT. There is some risk in “going this deep” and using 100% oxygen. Mild HBOT on the other hand is considered very safe. The only true contraindication of mild HBOT is a current ear infection or a collapsed lung, but we still recommend getting medical advice for your particular situation. Besides eardrum discomfort or bursting (only applicable if you go in the chamber with an ear infection), all the reported risks you will find with HBOT are speaking of deep/high-dose HBOT with 100% oxygen. What we personally use and offer on this website for sale is a soft-walled, mild hyperbaric oxygen chamber (HBOC) which goes to a true 1.3 ATA atmospheric pressure. Research has found very similar health benefits at this more “shallow” pressure level, with virtually no risk of injury. The only contraindications are ear infections, severe claustrophobia, and collapsed lung.
What Will I Need In My Home?
It might seem intimidating, but your chamber is very simple to operate! Here’s what you will need:
- A well-ventilated room.
- Two electrical outlets in the room that are installed to code. No other electric requirements.
- Hyperbaric oxygen chamber – we offer Summit to Sea manufactured chambers because of their superior quality, long track record, and FDA clearance.
- Oxygen concentrator to add supplemental oxygen. This is optional, but highly recommended for maximum benefits, especially if you live at higher altitudes where the air is “thin.” There isn’t as much oxygen at high altitudes because there aren’t as many air molecules up here. As part of our customer service, we can help you get the best price on the type of concentrator that works with our chambers, as we work with multiple providers.
- A prescription from your doctor. Hyperbaric chambers with supplemental oxygen are considered a medical device. A prescription will need to be provided in order to complete your purchase. The best way to have your practitioner write the prescription is “Hyperbaric equipment with supplemental oxygen. Duration: 99 months.” This indicates a lifelong prescription that you don’t ever have to renew.
- Things I will personally provide for you with your purchase, because I feel they’re so necessary for success and enjoyment of your chamber!
- A sound muffler for the depressurization valve on the chamber because it’s so loud otherwise, and doesn’t come as part of your chamber order.
- Other things that are optional, but helpful: After purchase, I will send you a short list of items I have purchased (between $5-$25) that have helped us streamline our “therapy room” to make using the chamber very convenient. It will include the best price for extra cannulas, pulse oximeter for your finger, best way to clean the chamber after use, etc.
What Does a Chamber Cost?
The following prices reflect full retail pricing. The price for oxygen concentrators as of October 2024 is $1800. If you need a discount, please contact us for group buy options.
Do I Need a Prescription?
You must have a prescription to rent or buy a chamber.
Do You Offer Payment Plans?
Not at this time, but we are currently looking into options for this. If you know of funding options that we could partner with for personal use or for business payment plans for medical spas, gyms, and other practitioners who purchase from us, please don’t hesitate to reach out as we are looking at multiple options to be able to make HBOT more accessible to individuals and businesses.
What is HBOT Therapy?
HBOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy) is a non-invasive, safe, and often effective way to reduce inflammation, increase the body’s oxygen levels, and detoxify. A person is placed into a controlled pressurized environment, which simulates being below sea level. The pressures of this therapy enable the gasses (in this case, the gas Oxygen) to change into a more dissolvable form. In this form, the body can acquire higher levels of oxygen, and the oxygen molecules can reach areas of the body that may have previously had difficulty getting enough oxygen.
Hyperbaric therapy (HBT) is the medical use of creating a pressurized environment at a level higher than 1 atmosphere absolute (ATA). Increased pressure allows oxygen to dissolve and saturate the blood plasma (independent of hemoglobin/red blood cells), which yields a wide variety of positive physiological, biochemical, and cellular effects.
This non-invasive therapy is a trusted way to increase oxygen levels in all body organs. The typical treatment lasts 60-120 minutes, during which the patient relaxes and breathes normally. HBOT has been demonstrated in numerous clinical studies to enhance the body’s innate ability to repair and regenerate. It is an adjunct therapy to complement and enhance the healing processes in chronic and acute conditions.
How Does Hyperbaric Therapy Work?
Hyperbaric therapy offers a safe, calming, and non-invasive method to increase oxygen intake in the body.
Typically, oxygen is present in the air we breathe, making up about 21% of it. Under normal conditions, our bodies absorb roughly 5% of that oxygen, with red blood cells transporting it throughout the circulatory system to aid our cells in healing, growth, and overall function. However, in areas with inflammation, scar tissue, or other blockages, oxygen delivery can be significantly slowed or even halted, much like a traffic jam, which can lead to increased inflammation, pain, and slower recovery.
When oxygen is placed under pressure, according to basic principles of physics, it dissolves into the body’s fluids, particularly plasma, much like how carbonation is added to beverages. In this dissolved state, oxygen can bypass red blood cells as the main transport method. Instead, it flows through the plasma, allowing it to penetrate vein and artery walls, cross the blood-brain barrier, and even navigate through scar tissue.
Some physicians compare an hour in a hyperbaric chamber to taking the equivalent of around 40 Motrin, without the harmful side effects. That’s a significant amount of anti-inflammatory action.
Why Use HBOT?
Some people use HBOT as part of their overall well-being regimen. Others use HBOT for temporary periods of time after injury, concussion, other acute health situations, or during periods of seasonal depression. You can read more about the growing body of scientific research here. I am continually compiling and adding to this collection of research: HBOT RESEARCH
What is HBOT Used to Treat?
Hyperbaric therapy has been applied to more than 100 different conditions with varying levels of success.
In general, hyperbaric therapy can benefit conditions related to poor circulation, breathing difficulties, and inflammation—factors that underlie many of the health challenges people encounter.
With its wide range of applications, hyperbaric therapy has been used for everything from boosting athletic performance to aiding post-surgery recovery. If increased oxygenation can help, hyperbarics often plays a significant role. The FDA has approved HBOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy) for treating the following conditions:
- Air and gas bubbles in the bloodstream
- Severe anemia when blood transfusion isn’t an option
- Severe burns that require treatment in a specialized burn center
- Carbon monoxide poisoning
- Crush injuries
- Decompression sickness (a risk for divers)
- Gas gangrene
- Sudden, unexplained hearing loss
- Severe infections of the skin or bones
- Radiation injuries
- Skin grafts or flaps at risk of tissue damage
- Sudden, painless vision loss in one eye due to blocked blood flow
- Non-healing wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers
Additionally, HBOT is continually being researched for its potential benefits in other conditions and the results are incredible. Here is a growing list of compiled research.
Is HBOT Controversial?
The FDA has officially approved HBOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy) for the treatment of just 14 conditions. Mild hyperbaric therapy (mHBOT) is only FDA-approved for addressing altitude sickness. However, many healthcare providers have used hyperbaric treatments for over 100 conditions that are considered “off-label” by the FDA. Unfortunately, some practitioners and individuals have made unsupported claims about the effectiveness of hyperbaric therapy. While the therapy shows great promise, it’s important to recognize that claims should be backed by scientific evidence, and any unverified claims should be clearly noted as such.

Where Can I Get HBOT Therapy if I Don't Own a Chamber?
Hyperbaric therapy is quickly becoming more prevalent and available to the general public. Hospitals, medical clinics, wellness centers, and even some gyms and training facilities are adding hyperbaric chambers. One-hour sessions are typically priced at $80-$180 per person, per session. A very common protocol recommended for all acute situations is 40 cumulative hours. Because HBOT can be helpful in so many situations, including as part of a daily routine for achieving optimal health, it makes better financial sense for many people to own a chamber rather than pay for individual sessions.
Do I Have to Use an Oxygen Concentrator?

As part of our customer service, we can help you get the best price on the type of concentrator that works with our chambers, as we work with multiple providers.
Do I Need a Helper to Operate the Chamber?
Summit to Sea has created a double-sided zipper system for the interior zipper, making it very simple to open and close from the inside or the outside. The double-sided pressure valve and interior gauge make it easy to pressurize and depressurize from the inside.
Furthermore, your chamber will ship wih written and video instructions for assembly. It’s straightforward and doesn’t take very long. We are available to answer any questions you may have in the future, and Summit to Sea also offers excellent support 7 days a week.
Can the Chambers Be Set to Deeper Pressures?
All Summit to Sea chambers are FDA-approved to reach 1.3 ATA (4.4 PSI)
How Much do Oxygen Concentrators Cost?
The Oxygen Concentrator that works with Summit to Sea Chambers is a 10 LPM Devilbiss Drive. As of October 2024, the retail cost is $1999 and comes with a full 3-year warranty. We work with multiple distributors of this model, so please contact us for info on who is providing the best offer at the time. We are often able to save our customers at least $200 on concentrators.
How Much Room Does the Chamber Take Up In my Home?
Vertical chambers take up much less floor space than horizontal chambers. The Dive Vertical is 40 inches and the Grand Dive Vertical is 54 inches in diameter. They are 7 feet tall, so your ceiling height must accommodate that height plus a few inches. You will need access to a standard wall socket with enough space for the compressors, about 2 feet. Horizontal chambers are 7 to 8.5 feet in length. You will need space to accommodate the length as well as the compressors. We typically recommend 9 feet long and 6 feet width of space for a horizontal chamber, but this measurement also includes room to be able to walk in front of and climb in and out of the chamber.
Is There a Warranty?
Summit to Sea chambers have a “bumper to bumper” 2-year warranty covering everything, including the zipper. Extending the warranty up to 3 additional years is possible before the original 2-year time frame ends.
Do You Do Group Buys?
Contact us for group buy options. Group buys typically save between $350 – $1000 depending on the model purchased.
Do You Offer Military Discounts?
The manufacturer offers a very generous 10% military discount.
If you or a direct family member have served in the military, fire, or police, you can qualify. The military member needs to be either yourself, a spouse, sibling, son, daughter, mother, father, grandfather, grandmother, or grandchild. I can walk you through the easy process of verifying military status and would love to help as many people as possible get this amazing discount.
Which Model Should I Get?
Personally I feel the best value is the Grand Dive. It’s a 7” bigger in diameter than the Dive. That doesn’t seem like a lot, but it makes a huge difference for those with claustrophobia, and is tall enough for you to comfortably sit up in the chamber and stretch your back. We have found it very comfortable to have two adults in this mid-sized chamber.
Another reason the Grand Dive different from smaller options is that it includes two auxiliary valves, which means that two people going in the chamber together can each have their own oxygen source. The Dive offers only one auxiliary valve. However, I have found an inexpensive way to split the oxygen inside the chamber so that it goes to 2 cannulas, so ask me how if you get the Dive!
The Dive is also a wonderful option. I am 5’7” and can fully sit up in it, but my head does touch the top. I can move around and change positions easily.
The Shallow Dive is a great budget option. If you’ve ever laid in an old-school tanning bed from the 90s, the Shallow Dive provides a little more room, but is definitely for laying down exclusively.
The vertical units are great for those who need to sit in a chair inside the chamber. It also takes up far less “foot print” room in your home. And there are even much larger units that can accommodate a wheelchair inside the chamber. If you have questions on which to get, don’t hesitate to contact me.
